Manchester is one the the largest cities in England, located at the centre of a conurbation with 2.5 million inhabitants. The city is currently experiencing a boom, the likes a which it has not seen since the Industrial Revolution. Impressive glass skyscrapers and striking modern architecture is now a familiar sight in the city. Manchester was the world’s first industrialised city, and is now an example of excellent regeneration schemes, good city planning and impressive architecture.
