Awesome, incredible, beautiful, exhilarating, relaxing, brilliant, memorizing. Those are just some of the words that quickly come to mind as I watch this time-lapse video of Vancouver which was taken from the flimmaker’s condo in Yaletown, Vancouver, Canada. He used a simple Canon miniDV cam and using BTV Pro software on his Apple computer.

A departure from our normal single destination video, today’s feature takes you around the world in a very interesting way—by showing you shots from 88 webcams, all shot around noon time (in their time zone) of the same day near the autumnal equinox with good weather! What’s really cool about the video, though, is that the filmmaker made an effort to avoid the most well-known cities. Includes great music by Andrew Powell and The Philharmonic Orchestra. Don’t skip this one!

Sail through the incredible San Juan Islands, which are a part of the San Juan Archipelago in the northwest corner of the continental United States. It is split into two groups of islands based on national sovereignty. San Juan Islands are part of the U.S. state of Washington, while the Gulf Islands are part of the Canadian province of British Columbia. There are over 450 islands in the entire archipelago at high tide, but fewer than one-sixth are inhabited, and only six are accessible by public ferry.
